The Council of SJSC State Real Estate (SRE) has elected Jelena Gavrilova, a high-level management expert, as a member of the Board of SRE, whose area of responsibility in the company will be the implementation of real estate development projects and the management of construction processes. The new Member of the Board of SRE started working in May 2022.
Gavrilova has extensive experience in large-scale projects, real estate financing, public procurement and green energy topics since 2010 in the financial sector of SEB Group companies. Since 2016, she has been the Chairman of the Board of SIA SEB Līzings, but previously from 2014 Gavrilova was the Head of the Real Estate Financing Department of JSC SEB Banka, where she implemented large real estate financing projects, including the Origo shopping centre and the Galerija Centrs. In 2011, Gavrilova received a Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Latvia and in 2016 a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Riga Business School.
Jānis Garisons, Chairman of the Council of SRE, points out: "Jelena Gavrilova is a strong addition to the team of SRE. We highly appreciate her extensive experience working with large-scale projects, real estate financing and customer management issues. At the current stage, Gavrilova will also play an important role in strengthening the company's further strategic priorities in relation to SRE development projects.”
In the open competition, 64 candidates applied for the position of a Member of the Board of SRE, from which the most suitable candidate was selected after four rounds.
Renārs Griškevičs, Chairman of the Board, continues to manage the capital company, whose area of responsibility is the general and financial management of the company, investment financing and supervision. Andris Vārna, a Member of the Board, is also continuing his work in the Board of SRE, whose area of responsibility is real estate management and technical maintenance management, property leasing and administration. The priorities set for the Board are unchanged - continuing the implementation of the medium-term operational strategies of SRE for 2018-2022, including the creation of a modern and customer-oriented working environment in public administration, digital and innovative real estate solutions in the public sector, sustainable management of the state real estate portfolio.
SRE currently continues works on 54 different construction sites of national importance, with a total project budget of 223 million euros. SRE provides professional real estate management and administration for approximately 400 real estate properties with 1100 buildings and 1.02 million square metres of space, and more than 3600 land properties of 9.6 million square metres. The company was founded in 1996 and is 100% owned by the Ministry of Finance.
