The project involved improving the environmental accessibility of the building at 43 Pasta Street, Jelgava, which houses several government departments, including the State Social Insurance Agency and the State Medical Commission for the Assessment of Health Condition and Working Ability. The main project activities included the reconstruction of the central entrance, the installation of a diagonal lift, the installation of new entrance doors and the reconstruction of the ground floor sanitary facilities to meet environmental accessibility requirements.
Jeļena Gavrilova, Member of the SRE Board, emphasises: “Even such a relatively small project of improving accessibility of the environment helps to make the society more equal by ensuring that persons with disabilities in Jelgava have easier access to services and information provided by public institutions. In general, in the renovation and construction of buildings in the development portfolio of SRE, we strive to incorporate solutions that help persons with disabilities to use buildings more fully after they are put into operation.”

The total contract price amounted to EUR 161 322 (excluding VAT).
