Appointed as a temporary Member of the Council on 27 October 2023.
Her work experience is related to working in public administration, overseeing the financial activities of local governments for more than 10 years and, since 2014, acting as the Deputy State Secretary in budget matters. She manages issues related to budget planning, priority setting, staff management, work organisation, and process review and streamlining. J. Plūme also serves as a member of the Assembly of the Latvian National Commission of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
She has a Master’s Degree in Macroeconomics and Statistics obtained at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Latvia. In addition, she has gained knowledge on project management, crisis management, process management, strategic workforce planning, risk management and more. Jolanta Plūme has received a number of awards, including the Order of the Three Stars (3rd Class) in 2019 and was appointed the Commander of the Order.
